Kilimanjaro National Park is located in northeastern Tanzania, in the Kilimanjaro Region. It is home to Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, which rises 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level. The park covers an area of approximately 1,688 square kilometers (652 square miles) and is situated around 300 kilometers (186 miles) south of Nairobi, Kenya. Kilimanjaro National Park is easily accessible from towns like Moshi and Arusha, which are common starting points for those planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
