Day 1: Arusha to Miriakamba Hut (LD)

Drive approximately 1.5 hours from Arusha to Momella Gate for registration. Begin trekking through lush rainforest teeming with giraffes, warthogs, buffalo, and colobus monkeys.

  • Distance: 10 km

  • Duration: 4–6 hours trekking

  • Accommodation: Miriakamba Hut (2,514m)

  • Meals included: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut (BLD)

After breakfast, ascend steeper trails with magnificent views of Meru’s crater and Ash Cone. Optional acclimatization hike to Little Meru Peak (3,820m).

  • Distance: 4 km

  • Duration: 3–4 hours trekking

  • Accommodation: Saddle Hut (3,566m)

  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Summit Mount Meru & Descent to Arusha (BL)

Begin summit trek at midnight. Traverse narrow paths and rocky ridges under starlit skies to reach Socialist Peak (4,566m) at sunrise. Descend back to Saddle Hut for brunch and continue down to Momella Gate for a transfer back to Arusha.

  • Distance: 19 km

  • Duration: 10–12 hours trekking

  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch
