Depart with a picnic lunch for an afternoon game drive. Lake Manyara sits beneath the Rift Valley wall, famous for tree-climbing lions and nearly 400 bird species. Alternatively, Tarangire is known for huge elephant herds and ancient baobab trees along its river.

A 3–4 hour drive to the Serengeti — “endless plains” — home to the yearly migration of over a million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra and 300,000 gazelle, trailed by lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas.

A full day exploring wooded hills, termite mounds, rocky kopjes and acacia-lined rivers — home to mongoose, hyrax, warthog, bat-eared fox, jackals and baboons alongside the big cats. Lunch at the Visitor's Centre. An optional early-morning hot-air-balloon safari is available at extra cost.

Game drive en route to Ngorongoro, with optional stops at Olduvai Gorge — hominid footprints preserved from 3.6 million years ago — and an authentic Maasai village visit.

A half-day game drive on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater — a spectacular caldera with over 20,000 large animals including Tanzania's remaining black rhino. The Conservation Area uniquely allows Maasai pastoralists to live alongside the wildlife in a natural setting.

A morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, famous for its huge elephant herds and ancient baobabs. In the dry season, thirsty antelope and elephant trek hundreds of kilometres to drink at the Tarangire River. In the afternoon, return to Arusha or transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport.
